Update On Montel Harris Injury
WEEI's Mike Petraglia has an update on the left knee injury Montel Harris sustained at the end of the third quarter in Saturday's 17-13 win over Virginia:
"The team announced he would not return for the fourth quarter of the game against Virginia. The school confirmed Harris was taken to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center for an MRI. He will meet Sunday morning with team physicians and consult with coaches to determine his status for next Saturday's game against Syracuse."
Harris left the game with 3,600 yards rushing in his career, surpassing Mike Cloud for second on the all-time school rushing list. Montel needs just 125 to tie Derrick Knight for the school record.
Hopefully Harris can play Saturday against Syracuse. The loss of Harris would be a big blow to the offense, though Andre Williams (12 carries, 108 yards, long of 59) had an equally impressive day rushing the ball against Virginia.
I'll be traveling the rest of the day, so if you hear any updates on Montel's status, please leave them in the comment section. Go Eagles!

I hope Montel is ok...
… but if he’s not 100% and needs to sit, how great would it be if we torched Cuse on the ground with a standout day from our backup?

Update from the Herald
"He has a little cartilage damage and they’re going to evaluate him today and he’s going to meet with the doctors and the coaches and we’ll see. Sometimes you can play with these, sometimes you can’t," said Spaziani this morning in his teleconference. "We’ll see how it is. We’ll see what 24 hours did and we’ll make a decision as the week goes. It depends on how much you can tolerate."

no point in risking it. andre has proven to be solid lets rest montel and let andre roll….and to top things off maybe increase the number of pass attempts for chase
we should give chase more opportunity to pass, but I really like what i see out of Andre. He’s really fast but also strong. He oculd be really good as a starter. And i think he would be a great compliment to Montel next year.
I was impressed with Williams performance on Saturday, but it was against a bad Virginia defense who hasn’t been good against the run.
Syracuse should prove a tougher test for Williams and BC running game. Syracuse has really turned it around on D under Marrone.
