Here is our preliminary blogpoll ballot for week 6. Traditional football powers USC, Penn State and Texas were all bounced from our ballot this week. While unconfirmed, the absence of all three of those programs from our ballot has to be a BCI first. Replacing USC, Penn State, Texas and N.C. State this week are Oklahoma State (4-0), Air Force (4-1), Northwestern (5-0) and Missouri (4-0).
Our ballots are beginning to converge a bit given it's getting tougher and tougher to find 25 teams worthy of our ballot. Teams encouraging the most disagreement between our two ballots include Boise State (2.12), Florida (2.12), LSU (2.12), South Carolina (2.12) and Wisconsin (2.12). Apparently we are conflicted over what to do with the SEC this week.
Surprisingly, Jeff and I agree on a whole bunch of teams this week. In the top 10, there was agreement on the treatment of Alabama (#1), Oregon (#2), Nebraska (#7) and Auburn (#8).
By conference: 6 SEC, 6 Big Ten, 4 Big 12, 3 Pac-10, 2 ACC, 2 Mountain West, 2 WAC. (Our blogpoll ballot still 100% Big East free. You're welcome.)
