Clemson ready for physical game with Boston College (Charleston Post & Courier)
Clemson's RB Andre Ellington ran for 236 yards and 2 touchdowns last week against Georgia Tech. Ellington might find it a bit tougher to rush against the Eagles D this week.

Clemson fans/bloggers seem to be quick to point out that Montel Harris was Jamie Harper's backup in HS. Any question now who's the better back?

"Last year's team laid an egg," Swinney said. "These guys have come to play each week and that's a trademark I like."

BOSTON COLLEGE PREVIEW (Block-C)
All CAPS for emphasis ... Prediction? "Sambo: I still can't get the image of last year's game out of my head. At halftime, I leave the stadium and head to the car for a beer (and I'm pretty sure it was raining, but I'm almost positive it rained during every home game last season). As I'm walking, I'm trying to tally up how many yards Boston College had in that first half. In fact, I could only remember them getting one first down, but that was on a pass interference call. Sure enough, I look it up on my phone and Boston College had one first down and negative 5 yards of total offense at the half. Negative yardage. Incredible. Well, not much has changed between that squad and this one."

Clemson @ Boston College: Game Preview (Shakin The Southland)
"The long and short of this story is that this game is on the road and BC has shown signs of life in their recent losses. The BC defense is good, especially against the run. If Clemson comes out with no emotion they could be in for a rude awakening as BC's defense can keep this one close."

Boston College News And Notes

BC's formula: Good roll, another bowl (Herald)
"Right now, we're focused on Clemson. And they have some very good players. From a defensive line standpoint, they've got what you could call specimens. But it's important to take one week at a time and then, if we get this one and then the next one and the next one, we're going to end up in that bowl game. We're going to find a place to play in late December or January." - Rich Lapham
