Here is our preliminary blogpoll ballot for week 8. The top 2 stay the same this week, but plenty of teams take a tumble down the rankings -- including double-digit drops by Nebraska, Ohio State, South Carolina and Nevada (out completely). Nevada, along with Air Force, Florida and Michigan drop out entirely and are replaced by Miami, USC, West Virginia and Mississippi State.
Teams encouraging the most disagreement between our two ballots include Nebraska (6.36), West Virginia (6.36), and Florida State (4.95). Agreement was reached on just four teams -- #7 LSU, #8 Alabama, #9 Stanford and #15 Missouri.
The big news of the weekend was the release of this season's first BCS standings. If you compare the first BCS standings to our ballot, BCI loves Miami (No. 18, unranked BCS), USC (No. 19, unranked), Virginia Tech (No. 16, No. 25) and Arizona (No. 12, No. 18). BCI hates Texas (unranked, No. 19), Utah (No. 20, No. 9) and Ohio State (No. 21, No. 10).
By conference: 6 SEC, 4 Big Ten, 4 Big 12, 4 Pac-10, 3 ACC, 2 Mountain West, 1 Big East, 1 WAC.
