2009 Boston College Football: Maryland Game Thread

Boston College Eagles at Maryland Terrapins, Nov 28, 2009 3:30 PM EST

Boston College Eagles (7-4, 4-3 ACC) at Maryland Terrapins (2-9, 1-6 ACC)

Time: 3:30 EST
Date: Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009
Place: Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium (54,000), College Park, Md.
TV: ESPNU - Todd Harris (play-by-play) and Tom Luginbill (color)
Spread: Boston College -6
Weather: Sunny, high of 52 degrees, winds W at 12 mph

Series: Boston College leads 4-2
Last Meeting:
Boston College 28, Maryland 21 (Nov. 29, 2008)
Last Meeting in College Park:
Maryland 42, Boston College 35 (Nov. 10, 2007)

Trends: Maryland has lost 6 straight ACC games since defeating the Atlantic Division champs back on October 3. BC is 3-1 in regular season finales since joining the conference, with their only loss coming at Miami (Fla.) in 2006.

The Eagles travel to College Park to take on the  2-9 Maryland Terrapins in both teams' regular season finales. The Terrapins are looking to avoid their first 10 loss season in program history. It will be the final game for 14 Maryland seniors (including QB Chris Turner) and perhaps the last game of the Ralph Friedgen era in College Park. The Eagles will be looking to get to the 8 win mark to (hopefully) improve their bowl positioning.

I'll be online during the game. Use this post to discuss the game and the rest of the weekend's college football action.

Go Eagles!
