Around SBN: Lance Berkman Could Have Torn ACL

"Fifth-ranked Virginia Tech opened as a 12-point favorite Sunday night in the first Las Vegas betting spreads posted Sunday night for this week's games.

Here are the early numbers on the rest of this week's games involving ACC teams -- Virginia -6.5 over Indiana; N.C. State -16 over Duke; Wake Forest -11.5 over Maryland; and Florida State -4.5 over Georgia Tech."

Does Vegas know something we don't?

Cause otherwise I think I am getting a new car after this weekend?

13.5

I’m showing us at 13.5 dogs.

BC <> Duke football

Duke was a 16.5 point dog at home against Virginia Tech last weekend …
BC is a 13.5 point dog on the road in Blacksburg.

The point spread difference is only 6 (with the home team’s each getting 3). I don’t know what is going on here …

The only thing I can think of:
- Albright’s injury
- Lack of BC defense pressure on Taylor will have him running all over BC
- ??

My only guess

Is that since the Miami beating (which was thorough and complete) at Lane was still fresh and people were busy hopping back on the Miami wagon….

Added in the fact that the last time BC played a road game vs. a loud, intimidating crowd, things didn’t go so well….

True, BC has lost 4 of their last 6 away from Alumni Stadium ...

Including the ACCCG and the Bowl, but we have had Virginia Tech’s number the last 3 regular season matchups.

Yikes....4 of the last 6

There’s a stat I could have been just fine not hearing. Ugh.
