Notes
  • We considered a shakeup at the top, but Virginia Tech played Alabama pretty tough the entire way on Saturday. Yes, their offense was predictably horrible but their defense and special teams (despite a few costly errors) still look very, very strong.
  • Georgia Tech and Miami (Fla.) leapfrog Florida State to take this week’s #2 and #3 spots
  • Boston College moves up 1 this week to our #7 spot, as NC State falls from #6 to #9 this week.
  • Maryland, Duke and Virginia remain in the bottom three spots this week for their forgettable week 1 performances
